What is integrative medicine?
The basic philosophy of a physician is to heal, or restore a good quality of life to a patient. Integrative Medicine combines both eastern (TCVM) and western methodologies of approach to medicine.
Dr. Tanya Higgins’s holistic practice is limited to TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine), i.e. Veterinary Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Herbology, Tui-Na (Spinal Manipulation) and Chinese Food Therapy.
She does NOT practice or apply homeopathy, chiropractric manipulation, western herbs, aromatherapy or other alternative modalities.
"It doesn't matter if medicine is old or new as long as it can cure."
Jen Hsou Lin, D.V.M., Ph.D
A Testimonial from Otis:
"Hi everybody- it's me Otis. I just wanted to share some pictures of my 3rd. acupuncture session with my awesome Doctor. Her name is Tanya Higgins and I really like her.
She is helping me with my hips and some other little issues that seem to be creeping up on me in my old age.
Did you see the needle she put on top of my nose? I didn't even feel it when she put it in!
We go on Mondays and my treatment takes about an hour. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking so good care of me by taking me to see Dr. Higgins!"
Dr. Higgins is now offering acupuncture therapy at the Animal Cancer Care Clinic, in Fort Lauderdale
